The Department of Software Engineering is one of the five departments of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University - HCM. The department was established in 1989 and has gradually expanded alongside the rapid development in the field of Software Engineering.
The Department of Software Engineering contributes to the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Computer Science & Engineering field, helping them prepare well for various career choices with a solid theoretical foundation in Computer Science and the necessary practical skills in Software Engineering. Graduates with a bachelor's degree can choose positions such as software developer, requirements analyst, software architect, technical team lead, or software engineer. Graduates with a master's or doctoral degree can confidently pursue their career path in both academic and industry directions related to Computer Science and Software Engineering.
PERSONNEL
Since its establishment, the Department of Software Engineering has grown in both scope and strength. The current personnel includes 2 Associate Professors, 3 Ph.D. holders, and 3 Master's degree holders. In addition, there are over 10 research fellows and dozens of research students participating in the academic and research activities of the department. Furthermore, the department collaborates closely with reputable guest lecturers from universities both nationally and internationally.
