SPECIAL FEATURES

Since 2008, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT) has been developing two academic programs—Computer Science and Computer Engineering—based on ABET standards. ABET is a widely recognized accreditation system for engineering and technology programs, commonly applied in universities across the United States. In 2014, both the Computer Engineering and Computer Science programs at HCMUT officially received ABET accreditation, making them the first two programs in Vietnam to achieve this recognition. Through the development and implementation of ABET-accredited curricula, the quality of these two programs has been elevated to meet international standards. Graduates from ABET-accredited programs are widely recognized by companies and organizations in the United States.
The Computer Engineering program will play a key role in providing human resources for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the development of smart cities based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
