PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Master's program in Management Information Systems with an applied focus helps learners enhance their specialized knowledge and professional skills in the field of Management Information Systems and related areas. Upon completion of the Master's program in Management Information Systems, graduates can take on roles such as Chief Information Officer, project manager for information system deployment, director of information technology, etc.
The Master's program in Management Information Systems will provide advanced knowledge in information system technology and related management expertise.
PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
When graduating from the Master's program in Management Information Systems with an applied focus, students will acquire the following knowledge and skills:
- Ability to work independently and creatively.
- Capability to design products, apply research results, identify and organize the implementation of complex tasks in the professional activities of the Management Information Systems field. Effectively apply the knowledge of Management Information Systems to carry out specific tasks suitable for the practical conditions of agencies, organizations, and economic units.
- Have foundational knowledge in the field and appropriate research methods to be able to continue participating in the doctoral training program.
TRAINING DURATION
The training duration is 2 years. It can be shortened to 1.5 years for students who have completed equivalent courses in the undergraduate program (the shortened training duration will be determined by the Department/Specialized Unit managing the major for each specific case).
KNOWLEDGE VOLUME

Admission Target
Right field – Appropriate major
Candidates must have graduated from regular university programs in Management Information Systems (52340405), Information Systems (52480104), or related majors with suitable training content.
For candidates graduating from university programs not listed in the Ministry of Education and Training's list of university programs or those listed but with a different name and code than the two majors, Management Information Systems and Information Systems, with training content similar to Management Information Systems, the university's admissions council will review and make a decision.
The closely related majors
Candidates who graduate from regular undergraduate programs in the following fields are considered closely related to the Management Information Systems major:

In addition to the majors mentioned in the correct and closely related fields, candidates graduating from undergraduate programs in the Business and Management field can still apply for admission.
For candidates graduating from university programs not listed in the Ministry of Education and Training's list of university programs or those listed but with a different name and code than the closely related majors mentioned above, the university's admissions council will review and make decisions on a case-by-case basis.
Additional Knowledge Enrichment
Candidates graduating from undergraduate programs in the closely related group (as stipulated in section 3.2) and other majors (as stipulated in section 3.3) must undergo additional knowledge enrichment before being eligible to participate in the entrance examination. The subjects for additional knowledge enrichment are listed in the table below.

If candidates have completed the courses in the additional knowledge enrichment block during their undergraduate studies, they may be eligible for course exemptions. The exemption decision will be made by the university's admissions council upon review.
